This very popular course is for applicants aged over 19, interested in returning to education but lack confidence because they may not have appropriate qualifications. The Access to HE course is designed to meet learner needs by helping to gain new skills and qualifications, and can be used to gain a place at university or to enhance career prospects.
All our Access Diplomas are made up of three Level 3 units with graded academic subject content and other Level 2 or ungraded Level 3 academic preparation skills units which offer generic, introductory or personal development skills.
On the Forensic Science Diploma students study Forensic Science and two other subjects: choose from Biology, Chemistry or Psychology. In addition there will be core components such as study skills and ICT.
Students will produce a portfolio of work over the year and will gain credits for assignments. There are exams in some subjects.
Learners will receive help and advice with the selection of university and college courses, and support with applications and interview procedures.
Please note: most university courses require GCSE Maths and/or English. There is opportunity to study both alongside the Access programme, if needed.
