This course is designed for those who wish to develop their artistic practice. The learner will have the benefit of a supportive and creative environment in a state of the arts purpose built facility, whilst working alongside like-minded creative individuals.
This is a non-qualification course that will give you the opportunity to work to loosely structured projects that explore a number of creative mediums. The learner will work on 5 weekly projects that cover printmaking, drawing and painting, mixed media, clay-work, 3D, textiles and photography.
This course is ideally designed for artists who have perhaps already completed an Access to HE Art and Design course but have for various reasons been unable to follow the more traditional route to HE. We are happy to accept other practitioners who are able to work independently and would value tutor support and access to workshops and facilities.
There is no formal assessment process for this course as you will not be working towards a qualification. You will receive regular formative feedback from an experienced instructor and also peer support and critiques.
This course aims to give you the confidence to build your own artistic practice in a supportive environment, this may also lead you to apply to study further at HE level.
