This apprenticeship is great for anyone interested in doing an apprenticeship to become a livestock unit technician on farm, and focusseson all aspects of livestock husbandry.
The apprenticeshipwill cover; animal health and welfare, legislation, learning about key performance indicators and how these can help to set achievable targets for the farm you are working on.
The course allows you to gain practical knowledge at work whilst coming to college for one day a week to embed this with other knowledge and skills.
Apprentices with a Level 3 qualification can progress to a Foundation Degree in Agriculture Management at University Centre Somerset.

It is brilliant here, I have made lots of friends and the tutors are excellent. I am a hands-on learner and sometimes find studying hard and need extra help. My tutors have been fantastic and are always willing to help me. I have gained confidence in myself during my course and now have knowledge of all areas of farming.
