If you are unable to secure employment, you could enrol on a full-time study programme and transfer to an Apprenticeship at a later date. Please apply for a full-time course as your second option.
This qualification prepares you if you want to enter or progress within livestock production areas of agriculture. Depending which is more convenient, you will attend weekly theory lessons at our Cannington campus or in Shepton Mallet.
Assessment includes an end-point assessment which includes a practical and multiple choice, and professional discussion. Continuous assessment takes place in your workplace through practical sessions and you must compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding.
On successful completion, you could progress to supervisory level employment within the industry or continue your studies with a Level 3 Apprenticeship.

It is brilliant here, I have made lots of friends and the tutors are excellent. I am a hands-on learner and sometimes find studying hard and need extra help. My tutors have been fantastic and are always willing to help me. I have gained confidence in myself during my course and now have knowledge of all areas of farming.
