This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience of drawing and painting.
This course will provide you with some instruction on how to approach botanical drawings and paintings. The course will begin with developing small drawings of a range of blooms and foliage within the garden and go on to develop one into a larger acrylic painting.
We will use the inspirational setting of Cannington Walled Gardens to find blooms and foliage to draw from life. If the weather is clement we will be outside for the duration of the course but there are options to continue indoors if necessary.
The tutor will provide pointers and feedback to help you develop your own drawing and painting style and stretch yourself over the two days.

An apprenticeship has been the best option for me since I benefit from working in the industry as well as gaining a qualification. College days give me time to work on my assignments and explore features in the software I haven’t covered at work. During the rest of the week, I develop client relationships which help build my confidence and improve my ability to express ideas.
