Do you have a hobby you want to turn into your business?
Are you a creative but don’t know how to make money from your art work?
Do you want to turn your side hustle into a profitable business so you can leave your 9 – 5 and do what you really love?

What makes this course special

Learning how to market yourself as a business is your first step to turning your dreams into a reality. The course offers a step by step guide of how to get your creative work seen by more people, how to sell your creative work online yourself and how to make social media work well for you.

Each week will include simple marketing tips that will help you take your business further by teaching you how to work smarter, not harder, so your time is largely spent creating your artworks.

What is involved?
This is a hands on course that will include time for you to put theory into practice. You will learn by doing small tasks each week. At the end of the course you will have a clear marketing plan of action that you can continue working on. Session include finding your ideal client, how to better photograph and video your work, which social media platform is perfect for you and how to use it successfully and in the final weeks selling your items online.

About the Tutor

Becky Craven has 20 years marketing experience working with well known
companies including Nestle, Timberland, Clarks, Virgin plus 1000’s of
entrepreneurs. She has recently also started to share that experience with a
range individuals from under graduates and recently graduated art students to
career changers and hobbyists around the south west. Her courses are proving
really popular and we are delighted she is offering courses at

Assessment Methods

There are no formal assessments for this course but each week you will be
given tasks to complete and feedback will be provided by your tutor.

An apprenticeship has been the best option for me since I benefit from working in the industry as well as gaining a qualification. College days give me time to work on my assignments and explore features in the software I haven’t covered at work. During the rest of the week, I develop client relationships which help build my confidence and improve my ability to express ideas.
