This course is suitable for those with a keen interest in beauty therapy and an enthusiasm and commitment to working in the industry.
Units include theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. These may include:
You will be taught in class contact sessions including lectures, tutorials and workshops.
Assessment is ongoing and through a theory examination, practical synoptic assessment, presentations and assignments.
You could progress to a Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies, a business or media make-up course, or short courses. Alternatively, you could find employment in beauty salons or spas, become self-employed or work as a therapist.
Previous students have worked at Cedar Falls, Rookery Manor, and Spa Experience, and many have set up their own businesses.

The work experience opportunities at BTC have been really beneficial. I started by helping out at Cedar Falls Health Farm & Spa, and by the end of the week, I was giving complementary treatments. Now I’ve completed my Level 2 and am starting to study my Level 3, I work there part-time which is great for my coursework.
