You need to be employed to start an Apprenticeship. Please visit our vacancy page or if you have an employer, please ensure you add full contact details of your employer within your application. If you are unable to secure employment, you could enrol on a full-time study programme and transfer to an Apprenticeship at a later date. Please apply for a full-time course as your second option.
You will typically be working in a medium to large organisation as part of the HR function delivering front line support to managers and employees, or as an HR Manager in a small organisation. Your work is likely to include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice; working on a range of HR processes, ranging from transactional to relatively complex, from recruitment through to retirement; using HR systems to keep records; providing relevant HR information to the business; working with the business on HR changes.
You will typically be taking ownership for providing advice to managers on a wide range of HR issues using company policy and current law, giving guidance that is compliant and where errors could expose the organisation to employment tribunals or legal risk.
You can gain employment in any HR support role within any organisation as long as the job role gives you the opportunity to work towards the knowledge, skills and behaviours elements of the apprenticeship standard. Your Apprenticeship Recruitment Advisor will be able to support this.
If you have not already achieved GCSE grade A-C or 9-4 in English and maths (level 2), you will need
to achieve Functional skills at level 2 prior to completion of your Apprenticeship.
During your apprenticeship, you will complete the on-programme element of the apprenticeship, which includes the above qualification and the building of an online portfolio evidencing the knowledge, skills and behaviours youve gained throughout your apprenticeship. Following this, your assessor, employer and you will decide when you are ready to undertake the End Point Assessment, this includes a:

This apprenticeship forms the foundation of a career within the profession, giving the base for further development through a career path within an organisation and/or through the HR Consultant/Partner apprenticeship.
The successful apprentice may be eligible to apply for Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or any other professional body that recognises this apprenticeship within its membership criteria (membership is subject to the professional bodies own membership requirements).

I decided to do Level 2 Business which I thoroughly enjoyed which made me chose to develop my understanding of Business and so then I went on to do Level 3 in Business. I have gained confidence, knowledge and multiple skills throughout the course and It has helped me to understand what I want to do in the future.
