Unit 3 – Understand how to Communicate Work-related Information

  • Section 1 Understand the principles and techniques of work-related communication
  • Section 2 Understand how to prepare for meetings

Unit 4 – Understand how to Deliver Customer Service and Resolve Problems

  • Section 1 Understand customer service delivery
  • Section 2 Understand the relationship between customer service and a brand
  • Section 3 Understand the resolution of customer service problems

Unit 5 – Understanding how to Develop Working Relationships with Colleagues

  • Section 1 Understand the principles of effective team working
  • Section 2 Understand how to develop working relationships with other teams and departments

Unit 6 – Introduction to Coaching

  • Section 1 Understand coaching in the workplace
  • Section 2 Understand how to coach individuals in the team

Unit 7 – Introduction to Mentoring

  • Section 1 Understand the purpose and benefits of mentoring
  • Section 2 Understand how a mentoring agreement works
  • Section 3 Understand the skills and tools required by a mentor

Unit 8 – Understanding Personal Development

  • Section 1 Understand the role of a team leader
  • Section 2 Understand how to produce a personal development plan

    Assessment Methods

    Upon enrolment you will be provided with learner support materials that will give you the knowledge and understanding required to undertake the assessments. To be awarded the qualification you need to successfully complete all of the workbooks.

    As you work through the learning materials you will have the support of a knowledgeable assessor/tutor who will give you support, advice and guidance on the course content as well as providing robust feedback on the work you complete.

    Entry Requirements

    Eligibility for FREE Level 2 Distance Learning courses:



    • Learners must be aged 19 years or over as at 31/08/19

    • Must have lived in the EU for the last three years

    • Must currently reside in England, in a post code outside of
      Greater Manchester, Liverpool City, Cambridge & Peterborough, Tees Valley
      and the West Midlands.

    • Must have a full Level 2 qualification or above in any subject (i.e QCF
      Diploma Level 2, five GCSEs/O Levels grade A-C, two or three AS Levels, CSE
      grade 1 5 or more, one A Level, QCF Certificate, GNVQ Intermediate, First
      Diploma, NVQ Level 2, First Certificate or Principle of Learning Level
      2).

    • Unemployed and claiming benefits, and using the qualification to obtain
      work.
