This course is run by an experienced sugarcraft tutor and professional wedding cake designer. The course cost includes the cutters, tape and tools you will need to carry on at home.
Over the six weeks you will create beautiful handmade unwired roses, bake a deep sponge to then cut, crumb and cover flawlessly. The last week will be spent assembling the cake and adding the all-important finishing touches to ensure the cake has the wow factor. You will need to provide the ingredients for baking a sponge cake in week five. A recipe will be provided.
Learners will be required to bake a deep sponge cake in readiness for week five. You might want to work in an apron for each session. From the first week you will need a deep box with lid, this can be a large cake tin or an A4 paper realm box and a block of dry oasis to safely transport your developing sugarcraft roses. Please note there is no session on Thursday 4 October.
The tutor will provide demonstrations and feedback to ensure you know how to accomplish each stage of the process and give you ample time in which to do it.
We are offering a range of adult evening sugarcraft courses throughout the academic year to suit a variety of interests and abilities.
