This course is for those looking for or working in a junior supervisory level position in the hospitality industry. The course can be tailored to ensure that it encompasses disciplines that suit you and your employer and perhaps lead to a move into a management role within the hospitality sector.
Subjects covered include:
· Developing working relationships within your sector
· Leading a team to improve customer service delivery
· Learning how to effectively control resources
· Implementing and monitoring health, security, safety and hygiene
· Learning how to run your own sector of the hospitality industry to maximise profits and customer satisfaction
During a College interview, the Trainer/Assessor will discuss how best to obtain a position since you will be expected to work in a hospitality role with supervisory duties for a minimum of 30 hours per week. There may be organisations that the College is working with who are looking for an apprentice that candidates could apply for a position with, or candidates may prefer to approach an organisation of their choice.
You are continuously assessed in the workplace to build an evidence log book showing your development across all supervisory areas of your role.
There are four assessment exams at the end of the course which are made up of an observation in the workplace, a business project, a professional discussion and a multiple choice test.
This apprenticeship can lead to a Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship. The training and skills learnt can lead towards becoming a Hospitality, Area or Catering Manager or a trainer in hospitality.
