Course Overview

The course helps to develop a broad understanding of the whole construction industry and uses realistic scenarios to help students apply this knowledge. Working with some of the most well-known construction companies in the world, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and qualifications in a career that has fantastic opportunities for progression.

Assessment Methods

Some of the units are externally assessed by the awarding body but most of the course is assessed through a series of internally set assignments. These involve a combination of scenario-based tasks linked to project work, practical exercises, timed tasks, individual study and presentations.

Progression Options

This Apprenticeship is the first stepping stone to a career in construction. Starting as a technician, you have the opportunity to progress on to an HNC, Foundation Degree, Degree and ultimately Chartered Membership of the Institution of Builders (CIOB).
