Apply NowThis 12-week Bootcamp has been designed in partnership with our industry partners and is for people who wish to retrain to gain practical skills and knowledge in to the Digital Health care sector to prepare them for progression onto an Apprenticeship, further study or employment in this sector.
Digital Health is a broad and growing sector that involves mobile health, data science, telehealth, telemedicine and personalised health care. Digital health is concerned about the development of interconnected health systems to improve the use of computational technologies, smart devices, computational analysis techniques, and communication media to aid healthcare professionals and their patients manage illnesses and health risks, as well as promote health and wellbeing.
These technologies include both hardware and software solutions and services, including monitoring systems, mobile health apps, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Part of the course will be delivered online. Learning materials for the employability and work-readiness skills will provide you with flexibility with your study, but still have tutor support when you need it.
Should any specific equipment be needed, this will be available to you. However, you will be expected to have access to an internet-enabled device which allows you to complete the various learning activities remotely, which will include written work, so please ensure that you are comfortable with doing this.
Modules:
Assessment will be varied forms of external and internal assessments. These include written coursework, presentations, class tests and practical work.
On completion of the Digital Healthcare Bootcamp you will have gained the valuable skills necessary to progress on to an Apprenticeship or further education within this discipline.
You will gain technical knowledge in both health and digital as well as skills to complement employability such as, interview techniques and preparing you for the world of work. During the course there will be opportunities to hear from employers about current vacancies which you would then be encouraged to apply for subject to successful completion of the course.
Examples of the current job roles in high demand include: Senior Data Analyst Digital Healthcare – Digital Health Lead – Digital Healthcare Apprentice – Digital Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
Examples of courses which you may consider to progress on to include: Level 3 Lead Adult Care worker – Level 3 Data Technician – Level 3 Digital Support technician – Level 3 Infrastructure Technician.
I found the entire experience of studying my Level 2 course really rewarding, that I decided to further my knowledge by completing a Level 3 course. I’m continually learning new skills and it’s really helping my professional development in the workplace.
