The Software Developer role is to understand a clients requirements as provided in design specifications and then build and test high-quality code solutions to deliver the best outcome. The role involves:
Learners will infill on the University Centre Somerset foundation degree programme which has been awarded higher Technical Qualification status, HTQ status is a quality mark by the Institute for Aprrenticeships and Technical Education to indicate their alignment to employer-led occupational standards. This will also give learners the option upon completion to also acquire a foundation degree and potentially progress onto a BSc programme.

I chose to study at BTC because of the excellent computing and IT facilities and, of the local colleges in the area, it seemed able to provide the best experience. My confidence has definitely developed during my time at the College. Interacting with new people and in a new environment has helped me come out of my comfort zone and progress personally.
