This Apprenticeship offers high quality training to meet the countryside industry standards. The qualification was designed by the industry for employers, and this ensures that the training you receive will equip you with the skills needed by the industry. You will be assisted by the College to find a suitable work placement with a local employer and attend College one day per week to work towards gaining detailed underpinning knowledge of the industry.

Practical assessment takes place throughout the course and you will compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence.
If you have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship, you could progress to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Alternatively, you could find employment at supervisory level within the industry.

I have gained a sound knowledge of so many aspects of the countryside, including native tree species, freshwater fish and flora and fauna, as well as learnt practical skills in things like hedge laying and conducting habitat surveys.
