Course Overview

This course is ideal for those wishing to learn the basics of jewellery making and will provide a firm foundation of knowledge and skills to allow individuals to continue to explore this exciting area of creativity for themselves.

This course has been designed to teach a series of specialist jewellery making skills and techniques including finishing.

The course will explore jewellery design by experimenting with metals namely; copper and silver. Learners will be taught how to make jewellery elements by hand piercing, doming, drilling and hammering and stamping. There will be time spent using wire to make earrings and rings using a blow torch and silver solder, then finishing by pickling and polishing.

This course will suit an array of levels as the materials we will be using allow for a range of potential outcomes. This course is also great for meeting like-minded individuals who want to explore the potential of jewellery making in a supportive and creative atmosphere.It will give individuals the confidence to create unique pieces of jewellery and encourage them to explore the possibilities for producing their own individual designs.
