Course Overview

This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience of printmaking and dyeing techniques.

You will explore one printmaking and one dyeing technique both of which utilise only blue inks and dyes.Cyanotypes is a sun printing technique onto paper and fabric. Shibori dyeing is a dip dye technique using indigo dyes to create interesting fabrics in the characteristic colour.

This highly unusual course will make use of some usual materials to create beautiful items to keep.

Assessment Methods

The tutor will provide feedback to help you learn and master new activities and techniques.

We offer a varied range of subsidised printmaking short courses to explore in both Bridgwater and Taunton campuses including, Introduction to paper-based Printmaking, Lino Print your Own Christmas Cards and Introduction to Textile and Surface Printmaking.
