This course is aimed at those wishing to run their own floristry business or work in a supervisory role. You will cover a range of specialist technical practical skills and knowledge and explore European influences, techniques and new trends within the industry. This qualification could also be used for progression into teaching.

Modules are taught via demonstrations, lectures, tutorials and practical workshops.
Course materials costs could be up to £250 depending on your chosen supplier (these may be available to order via the College for your convenience especially for those in recepit of the Adult Learning Loan). Residential and field trips are optional. Student Support funding and bursaries may be available to assist with these costs.
You will attend College for one full day a week and will be expected to complete written assignment work in self-study time at home. During the course you will compile a portfolio of your work and will be assessed through coursework and practical assessments.
On successful completion of the course you may wish to progress to the Level 4 Higher Diploma and Level 5 Master Diploma in Floristry. The College also offers a diverse range of short courses in Floristry starting at various times throughout the year.

You need five GCSEs in the 9 to 4 range including English and Maths, or to have completed a Level 2 qualification in floristry (or equivalent) at Merit grade with GCSE English and Maths. Mature students wishing to change career are welcome to apply. Entry is also subject to a successful interview.
I found the entire experience of studying my Level 2 course really rewarding, that I decided to further my knowledge by completing a Level 3 course. I’m continually learning new skills and it’s really helping my professional development in the workplace.
