Course Overview

An Apprenticeship will ensure you are properly trained to perform the job your employer needs you to do. You can choose from three main pathways that reflect your specific area of work in the health and social care sector. These pathways include generic, dementia and adults with learning disabilities.

Assessment Methods

This competency-based qualification is designed to be assessed in your workplace as you go about your normal work role with written assessments and observations by a qualified Assessor. Modes of assessment include direct observation, oral questioning, written case studies, assignments and projects.

Progression Options

It is anticipated that you will progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care or  specialist qualifications reflecting the context in which you work. The majority of apprentices can expect to be offered a permanent contract with their employer with endless progression opportunities going forward.

Entry Requirements

You need five
GCSEs in the A* to E or 9 to 2 range including English and Maths. It is
important that you have a good level of spoken and written English. You will be
required to attend an interview and provide references. A DBS certificate is
essential before placement.
