In this course you will learn about the principles and practices of permaculture. You will explore the ideas surrounding permaculture, the theories and principles on which permaculture is based and look at a range of practical applications to give a broad overview of what can be done and how. It is delivered online using our Virtual Classroom.
With so much focus on the environment across the world the principles of permaculture address many of the issues involved. We are running this course again following its success last year. It is delivered by a senior member of our horticulture team with long experience in the industry.
During the 6 sessions you will have the opportunity to work with others in discussing the benefits of permaculture and work collectively to develop some of the skills involved- due to the nature of the class (evening online) it will not be possible to undertake outdoor work during the sessions, but those on the course will be encouraged to practice these skills in their own time.
This is a non accredited course and includes no formal assessments.
We run a number of RHS accredited courses for adult learners in Horticulture at levels 2 & 3. There are also a range of online virtual evening classes on other specialist horticulture topics during the year.
