Course Overview

This course is for those who wish to build confidence in speaking and listening and using the past, present and future tense. The emphasis is on conversation so learners will need to have completed a Beginners and Improvers course.

Classes are taught by a native Spanish speaker with extensive experience of teaching Spanish to adults. You will have access to lots of useful resources to help you develop confidence to communicate better in Spanish.

In this course learners will expand, and improve upon their previously acquired linguistic skills, enabling them to communicate in everyday situations. The emphasis of the course will be on pronunciation and building vocabulary in order to improve confidence in speaking and listening skills. By the end of the course learners will be able to speak with confidence and fluency in everyday situations using the basic of the present, past and future tenses. We will be using Pasos 1 book and other teaching resources.

Topics include:

  • Talking about yourself, family and friends, jobs, and the place where you live etc.
  • Culture, food and drink in Spain and Spanish-speaking countries
  • Learning grammar through interactive language exercises and games
  • Moving around, using trains, buses, airports and finding places
  • Talking about what did you do on your holiday
  • Talking about what are you going to do in your next holiday.

Assessment Methods

You will be given plenty of opportunity to speak Spanish with others and given feedback on how to improve your pronunciation, fluency and grammar.
