Spanish Improvers - Bridgwater & Taunton College

Course Overview

This course is for those who have had some recent experience of learning Spanish and wish to continue to develop skills and knowledge of speaking, listening and reading the language in order to confidently communicate more fluently using a greater range of vocabulary.

Classes are taught by a native Spanish speaker with extensive experience of teaching Spanish to adults. You will have access to lots of useful resources to help you develop confidence to communicate in Spanish.

You will be given plenty of opportunity to speak Spanish with others and given feedback on how to improve your pronunciation, fluency and grammar.

Assessment Methods

The lessons include plenty of opportunities for conversation practice, grammar, use of the internet and video.

Topics include:

  • Getting to know each other (talking about yourself and family, where you live)
  • Culture, food and drink in Spain and Spanish-speaking countries
  • Learning basic grammar through interactive language exercises and games
  • Moving around, using trains, buses, airports and finding places
  • Booking hotels.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course excepting an
enthusiasm to learn the language, but recent experience of learning Spanish is
an advantage.
