This course is suitable for those with some previous experience of creating sugarcraft flowers and are looking to extend their skills further. This course will concentrate on the creation of two very different types of flower arrangements and working with cake dummies. Over the 11 weeks course you will create two displays of sugar flowers, the first being an amaryllis and second a tulip, hydrangeas and filler fowers to adorn a deep cake dummy, covered with sugarpaste creating super sharpe edges. Learn how to place and arrange your sugar flowers to a professional standard. You will need to provide Squires Kitchen florist paste to create the flowers but the cutters, tools, wires, dusts and tape required will be provided. Learners will also need to provide the following if you havent already got them: The hydrangea cutter and veiner, half egg chocolate moulds with six cavities and a PME Cone tool # 5. The tutor will explain all that is needed in the first session so please wait until then to purchase any materials. Learners will need to provide a block of dry oasis or cake dummy, a deep box with lid and some packing materials to safely transport your developing sugarcraft flowers. This course is taught by professional sugarcraft tutor and wedding cake designer Alison Barnes.
There are no formal exams on this course. The tutor will provide demonstrations and feedback to ensure you know how to accomplish each stage of the process and give you ample time in which to do it.
