Business and Professional Administration Higher Apprenticeship

Course Overview

This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to develop specific types of knowledge to underpin your competence in the workplace.This will include the principles underpinning the resolution of administrative problems, management of an administrative function and business communication models, systems and processes.

You will develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that support competence in your job role and may include resolving administrative problems, being able to organise the work of an administrative function, being able to manage administrative workflows and being able to use both written and verbal communication in business.

Some examples of job roles for this qualification may be office manager, senior administrator, administration team leader, personal assistant or business development executive.

  • Personal Effectiveness in a business environment

Teaching is over two days per month at our Taunton campus where you will attend tutor-led sessions designed to expand your knowledge and help you gather the knowledge necessary to complete assignments.

You will complete a portfolio of evidence which will show your competence and knowledge within your job role.There are a number of units that you can select depending on your position within your organisation.Your assessor will carry out a comprehensive discussion with you regarding your job role to identify the appropriate and relevant units for you.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is in the workplace and could include observations, professional discussions, reflective accounts/personal statements, work product, witness testimonies, case studies and written knowledge evidence and/or assignments.

Progression Options

On successful completion of this Level 4 apprenticeship, you could enrol on a Higher Apprenticeship in management.
