Course Overview

Digital technology is driving significant changes across just about every area of our lives. New developments and advancements mean that there are all kinds of jobs in the digital industry, creating opportunities for many different professionals.

The primary role of a data analyst is to use tools and techniques to support employers in the decision-making process. An analyst will typically be working as part of a larger team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall project.

The analyst will need to be able to identify facts and trends from the raw data provided and determine what is meaningful for the organisation to make business decisions for the future.

Assessment Methods

You are assessed on your knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis and will have to demonstrate that you can meet the required standards throughout your training. There will be a mixture of coursework, projects, professional discussions and end-point assessment. The qualification can take up to 2 years and 3 months to complete, dependent on level and employer.

Progression Options

The Higher Apprenticeship will provide you with excellent career progression opportunities. Fully qualified analysts are in high demand. Typical job roles include: Data Analyst, Data Scientist and Data Engineers.
