Course Summary

Course Title Vehicle Damage Panel Technician Apprenticeship Level 3
Entry Requirements

Although the panel technician apprenticeship standard does not stipulate a
minimum entry requirement, we advise a minimum entry grade for English and maths
to be a grade 3 in both. This will ensure that unnecessary additional pressure
is avoided. Those who wish to join the programme with a grade 2 in English or
maths will need to undergo an initial diagnostic assessment and interview with
an appropriate staff member to establish suitability.

Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths (GCSE) will need to achieve
this level prior to taking the end-point assessment. For those with an
education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships
English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language
qualification.

Spotlight

I’ve really enjoyed learning all about the internals of cars and what a car relies on to run smoothly. This benefits me in the workplace because I know how parts work when I come to repair or replace them. So far my greatest achievement has been passing the first year.
