Course Overview

You need to be employed to start an Apprenticeship. Please visit our vacancy page or if you have an employer, please ensure you add full contact details of your employer within your application. If you are unable to secure employment, you could enrol on a full-time study programme and transfer to an Apprenticeship at a later date. Please apply for a full-time course as your second option.

If you like working with timber and creating things with a hands-on approach, this is the ideal Apprenticeship for you. It is suitable for you if you are looking to earn while you learn and are passionate about choosing wood occupations as a career. You will develop your hand skills and learn how to use and care for both the hand and power tools of the trade.

Assessment Methods

You will be assessed through written examinations, practical assessments, written coursework, a portfolio and periodic reviews in both College and the workplace.

Progression Options

On successful completion you could find employment in the industry as a qualified tradesperson then work your way up to a supervisory or site management position.
