This apprenticeship is aimed at employees in countryside management roles looking to increase their management, supervisory and project planning skills in the outdoor sector.
Countryside Rangers are found in organisations that are responsible for managing the countryside & natural environment as well as carrying out community engagement and public access works.
A Countryside Ranger would be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, conservation and protection of the natural environment and will inspire people about the natural environment and encourage them to engage with their local green spaces.
Countryside Rangers organise, supervise and deliver specific land management, conservation and community engagement tasks and manage small scale projects working collaboratively both internally and externally with a wide range of partners, stakeholders, organisations and interest groups as well as creating safe environments where the public can enjoy the countryside and coastline.
What does the course involve?
2 years on programme with a range of knowledge assessment, skills assessments as well asLevel 3Emergency First Aid at Work and Level 2 Brushcutter qualifications.

Learners may progress onto a BSc or MSc qualification, or enter full-time employment in roles such as, Countryside Ranger, Community Ranger, Recreation Ranger, Ranger Reserve or Countryside Warden, Estate Supervisor, Ranger, Estate Ranger and/or Park Ranger.
