BTC are here to support your industry obtain the skills that you need.
Our 12-week training bootcamps are part of the Government’s National Retraining Scheme, created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, to provide people who may have recently been made unemployed or who are under employed with the opportunity to retrain in the health care sector.
The bootcamps will focus on the skills required to support digital infrastructure and prepare individuals for progression into an Apprenticeship, further study or employment in the sector.
This will help enable Somerset to develop the trained health and care workforce the sector demands and mitigate the negative impacts that Covid-19 has had on the recently unemployed population.
Your Expertise and Involvement:
The involvement of employers is crucial to delivering the skills that the sector requires. You can get involved in a variety of ways – by offering masterclasses, industry talks, mock interviews or a real job interview for an opportunity that you have at the end of the training – allowing you to assess the skills of the individual before you recruit to post!
The aim is to grow talent from the grassroot and embed a culture of care, compassion and excellence whilst delivering high-quality care for patients.
