Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) is a voluntary assessment programme for technicians working in the retail motor industry.
ATA training has 5 modules which focus on all vehicle systems including steering, suspension, wheels and tyres, body, corrosion, vehicle and braking systems. The ATA training course develops skills around vehicle inspection techniques and engine & electrical diagnostics.
It has the backing of major vehicle manufacturers, independent repair organisations, insurance organisations, Thatcham and IMI, which is the Sector Skills Council for the retail motor industry.
Assessment staff have experience of industry and the Automotive Centres at Bridgwater & Taunton College have state of the art equipped workshops and classrooms offering the best possible assessment facilities.
