Important Information regarding home testing during the Easter holidays.
During the Easter holidays the government has requested that students with the lateral flow testing twice a week using the Covid-19 Self Test Kits which you should have either been given or, collected from College.
The last day of term is Thursday 1 April.
Please ensure you have picked up your Covid-19 Self Test Kits. To ensure you have enough tests additional kits will be from Friday 26 March and will be given to you in your classes.

Testing is voluntary, however, we would encourage you to participate to help support us in keeping our community safe and well.
Where do I collect my Self-Test Kit?
Additional Self-Test Kits will be issued to you from 26 March in your classes.
Is the Self-Test Kit personal to me?
Yes, your kit is registered against your name.
How often should I test myself?

Yes, please continue to test yourself. Please complete your test twice a week, three to four days apart and ensure you log your results.

When should I complete my test during term time?
Please complete your test in the morning, before coming into College, don’t forget you need half an hour to complete the test.
Please complete your test twice a week, three to four days apart and ensure you log your results.

If I test negative do you need to know the results of my test?
Yes please. Once you have completed your tests, please register your results via to notify the COVID-19 team using this form. You must also report your results to the NHS. NHS results.

If I have a positive test result what should I do?
If your home test results are positive, please follow the guidelines here. Please do not attend College.

It’s difficult for me to take a test at home what should I do?
If you are unable to take your test at home, and would like to continue with testing during term time, there will be testing available on campus.
Call into a test centre between 9.00 and 11.30 to complete a test.
You can continue to do this, every three days at a test centre.
It’s difficult for me to take a test at home what should I do over the Easter holidays?
If you are unable to take your test at home you will be able to resume testing week commencing 19 April at a College test centre.
I don’t feel confident about completing the test at home what should I do?
If you would like more advice and guidance please call into the test centre between 9:00 and 11:30 or email covid19@btc.ac.uk
If I have symptoms should I get tested at College?
No. If you are displaying any Covid symptoms, please do not attend College. Please follow the guidelines here.

I have decided not to participate in testing, can I attend College?
Whilst testing is voluntary, we would strongly encourage you to participate to help support us in keeping our community safe and well. If you decide not to participate in testing, you will be able to attend College according to your timetable.
I am in a household with children at school or college can I get a test?
NHS Test and Trace announced, that all adults in households with school and college age children without symptoms can now access regular rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing. Test kits can either be collected or ordered online. For more information click here.
