BTC A Level students are celebrating being offered places at top universities across the UK. The students were on the Honours Pathway programme which helps high achieving students progress onto leading universities through additional tuition and skill development, such as interview techniques and personal statement writing.

  • Johnathan Grantham, former student of Kings of Wessex School, has secured a place to study History at the University of Manchester.
  • Samuel Peppard, former student of Huish Episcopi, has secured a place to study Engineering Maths at the University of Bristol.
  • Tom Chidgey, former student of Bridgwater College Academy, has secured a place to study Mathematics Operational Research Statistics and Economics at the University of Warwick.
  • Elios Warrenparr has been offered to study Mathematics at the University of Durham.

Karen Crowely, Course Leader for A Levels has said, “My colleagues from the A Level and IB teaching staff and I are exceptionally proud of the university offers that our students have received. These students showcase remarkable offers from the UK’s most prestigious universities. The students pictured participated in the Pathways to Oxbridge enrichment this year, which is a programme attached to the A Level and IB Honours. This enrichment supports students to put their best foot forward, which has given some clear results with the amazing offers they have received! As course leader for Pathways, I feel extremely honoured to work with these students and I cannot wait to hear about their ventures into the world of HE! Good luck to all A Level and IB students with their examinations and results this academic year!”

Additionally, our first year Honours Academy cohort this year is doing exceptionally well with two students, Soher Bayoumi and Prabhjot Multani obtaining a place on the University of Bristol Pathway to Health Sciences.

Liz Nuttall, Head of A Levels, has said “The A Level department is always keen to promote external opportunities for our students, we are so pleased that Soher and Prabhjot have been awarded places on these very competitive courses. This experience will provide them an invaluable insight into the study of Medicine at undergraduate level and will look fantastic on their university applications in September.”

We wish all our students the best of luck!
