Bridgwater & Taunton College has benefited from a multi-million pound investment in engineering facilities over the past eight years, including an £8 million Energy Skills Centre, a £7m Advanced Engineering Centre and the Southern Hub of the £15m Government flagship National College for Nuclear.
These facilities combined offer outstanding engineering training for Apprentices in specialisms that include aerospace, automotive, composites, computer aided design/manufacture, control and instrumentation, electrical and electronic engineering, manufacturing and production technologies, materials testing, mechanical and maintenance engineering, nuclear, pneumatics/hydraulics, programmable logic control, process control technology, robotics and control engineering, welding and fabrication.
“We partner with the College not only because of their location but because of the quality of their delivery and their ability to respond quickly to the challenges we’re facing. We can’t conduct all of this training ourselves and they bring with them the kudos and the relationships with the national accrediting bodies that we can never hope to achieve.“
– Mark Lewis, EDF Energy Training Manager.

How else can we help?
Although your business may belong primarily to the engineering sector, that’s unlikely to be its sole focus – you’ll probably have staff that need looking after, as well as an accounts department, a delivery function, marketing, general admin, customer service – the list is endless.
Increasing the productivity and efficiency of any of these areas could have a really positive impact on profitability, and an Apprenticeship programme is a really cost-effective way of doing that.
We offer a variety of different training solutions and sports memberships to support you with your business and our team will tailor your training requirements to your business needs.
