In today’s world, engineers work in an environment that encompasses the use of cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions, from aircraft design to nuclear development.
Bridgwater & Taunton College has a thriving Engineering department located in its flagship facility, the Energy Skills Centre, and the brand new state-of-the-art Advanced Engineering Centre, built in 2017.
Students have access to dedicated laboratories with high specification technology to develop knowledge and skills in robotics, CAD/CAM, CNC, materials, pneumatic/hydraulics, programmable logic control, electronics and process control.
The College’s Engineering department offers a comprehensive range of training programmes from apprenticeships right through to HNCs/HNDs and degree-level programmes. Engineering qualifications can lead to careers in a huge range of industries, including design, computing, manufacture, aerospace and electronics.
