Are you interested in how your Sunday roast got from the farm or manufacturer, to your table? Maybe you enjoy science and are keen to learn more about how it is used to decide what is and isn’t good for manufacturers to make and sell, and ultimately for us to eat.
Our food technology courses look at the processes and science behind all kinds of food, from how it is tested, produced and processed to its packaging and distribution to our shops and supermarkets.
Food professionals are in great demand and these courses can lead to careers in many areas including research, retail, quality control and food law enforcement.
Bridgwater & Taunton College offers a range of training programmes aimed at the food and drink sector. As well as programmes relating specifically to food production, we also offer skills training in engineering, welding, business administration, and management.
Based on customer requests, we have developed bespoke courses in dairy science, auditing, allergen awareness and hazard analysis of critical control points to name a few, and these can be delivered at a time and date to suit the business’ needs, to ensure productivity is not affected.
