Bridgwater & Taunton College can truly claim to be at the leading edge of vocational nuclear industry training. The demand for skilled and qualified nuclear workers in Somerset is high, and with the build of the new Hinkley C power station on the doorstep of the College’s new nuclear training facilities, we are ideally positioned to train students seeking a career in the industry.
The southern hub of the National College for Nuclear (NCfN) is due to open in early 2018 at our Cannington campus. We are helping to create the nuclear workforce of tomorrow by delivering high-level technical training to thousands of learners from across England. The College is the South West hub for The National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) leading the regional network of NSAN approved training providers and our Cannington campus is the home of the Magnox South Decommissioning Centre.
We gained a national Beacon Award for our work with employers in this sector and have several high quality practical courses at all levels.
