Apprentice Success at Guild of Bricklayers Competition

BTC Bricklaying apprentices travelled to Swindon College last week to take part in the Guild of Bricklayers Western Regional Final.

The Guild of Bricklayers aims to promote and maintain the highest standard of craftsmanship in brickwork, and is divided into geographical regions where local competitions take place.

Max Muggleton-Browning achieved a fantastic first place in the Senior category, and Danny Stott achieved second place in the New Entrant category. Both produced some fantastic brickwork in 6 and 5-hour timed competitions against trainees from colleges across the region.

Max, who works for J Harper Bricklaying and spends one day a week training at Bridgwater & Taunton College, will now go on to represent the Western region at the Guild of Bricklayers National Final in Liverpool next month.
