Bridgwater College recently welcomed two colleagues from one of its valued partners, Haynes Motor Museum. Their visit included a tour of the Automotive Department, Energy Skills Centre, and Advanced Engineering Centre — highlighting the incredible opportunities available to learners at Bridgwater College.
Haynes Motor Museum is a key partner within the Automotive and Engineering industry, supporting Bridgwater College’s mission to help learners thrive in an everchanging sector.
This partnership is continuing to grow, here are some examples of exciting partnership initiatives:
- Haynes Motor Museum is now sponsoring Bridgwater College’s Automotive technician of the month – the prize being a family ticket to the museum
- Bridgwater College attended the museum’s prestigious John Haynes Classic event, celebrating its 40th anniversary in the Discovery area
- Together, Bridgwater College and Haynes Motor Museum are developing small modules to introduce students to heritage engineering and build core skills in classic vehicle restoration.
- Selected students have toured the museum and presented feedback directly to Haynes Motor Museum’s board room, offering insights on layout improvements for younger audiences and STEM stations.
- Learners have enjoyed exclusive opportunities, guided tours of the museum, including early access to exhibitions before they open to the public.
- Bridgwater College has been invited to next year’s John Haynes Classic event, with the potential to share insights on education in the automotive and engineering sectors.
