BTC Motorcycle Team Win Third Position Overall in the British Thundersport Racing GP1 Series - Bridgwater & Taunton College

The College’s motorcycle team, together with Chris Ganley Racing, achieved third position overall in the British Thundersport Racing GP1 Series.

The iconic series is a UK motorcycle road racing challenge that tests even the best riders ability, nerve and prowess.

Automotive and Engineering lecturer, Sholto Downs said:

Everyone at Bridgwater & Taunton College would like to congratulate Chris and his track team for their fantastic performance in the Thundersport GB series. Achieving a fantastic third place and another visit to the podium is an incredible achievement.

The team’s performance is even more remarkable after facing the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic threatening the cancellation of the event. Further, rider Chris Granley overcame adversity as a left-arm amputee.
