Bridgwater & Taunton College opened its doors and welcomed visitors to both its Taunton and Bridgwater campus’ this week.

Pupils in their final year of secondary school were invited to attend, along with their friends and family, as well as anyone looking to find out more information about the adult courses BTC offers and the higher education provision offered at the University Centre Somerset.

Individuals from across the county to view the fantastic, industry-standard and state-of-the-art facilities on offer. In recent years, BTC has invested millions of pounds into their facilities which offers students the opportunity to work in simulated hospital wards, science laboratories, a professionally run restaurant, a collaborative business hub, a centre for digital technologies, automotive and engineering workshops to name a few.

Andy Berry, Principal said,

Our open evenings saw a fantastic turnout. The atmosphere at both campuses was vibrant. Our student ambassadors were great advocate, showing people around, telling them about their experiences and the opportunities available at BTC. I am proud to say, as a result of two successful events, we have received a large number of applications overnight!
