The College is excited to announce Somerset captain and current Team BTC Rugby coach, Brett Harvey as their new Head of Rugby. Brett is currently coaching with Bristol Bears Academy whilst also playing for National 2 league side Taunton Titans and is the first team captain for Somerset Rugby.

Brett Harvey said:

“I’m really excited to be able to help further the Team BTC rugby provision within the College and build on the work done in the last few years by the highly dedicated team of coaches. We’ll be providing the opportunity for players of all abilities, from those looking to try a new sport, right up to players involved at academy level with Bristol Bears. The aims is to develop them not only as rugby players, but more importantly as people who leave with life skills and values of which they can call upon in the future.”

Team BTC Manager Jamie Laird said:

“This is fantastic news for the College and Team BTC Rugby, and will be a huge benefit to our players at College. Brett brings a lot of coaching experience and innovation with him, and his work with Bristol Bears Academy will benefit the College and the partnership between Bristol Bears and BTC. To have Brett’s experience and knowledge will further improve the already holistic rugby provision that we offer our students.”
