College marks Climate Action Week 2021 - Bridgwater & Taunton College

In recent years, climate action, sustainability and the environment has become an increasingly important agenda globally. Bridgwater & Taunton College is committed to making positive changes to reduce our environmental impact and to educate the College’s community on matters of climate action.

As part of our commitment to promote education on the environment, the BTC Lifestyle team have developed Climate Action Week.

Climate Action Week at BTC is a week of informative and inspiring podcasts to raise awareness of the climate emergency and help students and staff to take action.

Highlights include waste management company, Biffa explaining what happens to the College’s waste and RE Fashion giving us an insight into the business’ mission to reuse, remake and repair clothes to make fashion sustainable. Somerset Wildlife Trust will be giving listeners tips on how to encourage and protect wildlife in our gardens, and staff at Rodway Farm will be explaining what methods they have used to make farming sustainable.

All content will be uploaded throughout the week to the College’s Blackboard platform for staff and students to access. The BTC Lifestyle team will also be posting information on their Instagram page – @btc.lifestyle.

Take a step in the right direction by calculating your own Environmental Footprint. The results might surprise you.
