Engineering Students Attend the PPMA Show | Bridgwater & Taunton College

Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) students studying Engineering programmes attended the renowned PPMA Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

This visit provided an opportunity for these aspiring engineers to explore the latest advancements in processing and packaging machinery, fostering a deeper understanding of the industry.

The PPMA Show, the UK’s premier event dedicated to cutting-edge processing and packaging machinery, presented an all-encompassing view of various sectors, including food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, household products and toiletries, building materials and supplies, pet care, micro-brewery and distilleries, FMCG, and contract packing, among others.

During their visit, the engineering students had the privilege of witnessing and engaging with every facet of the production line, from labelling and filling to packing, robotics, automation, and industrial vision systems. The exhibition also showcased the latest technological innovations and unveiled a host of ground-breaking product launches.

Ian Turner, Engineering Course Leader at Bridgwater & Taunton College, shared his enthusiasm about the experience, stating,
