Students and staff have completed a challenging 12 hour spin at Bridgwater & Taunton College to raise money for charity.
Starting at 6.30am, two teams, headed up by BTC Sports Apprentices Leah Burridge and Rosie May, went head to head to see who could raise the most money. Participants were encouraged by each other and by their supporters, with College Principal Andy Berry also showing his support and doing a stint on one of the bikes.
Level 3 Sports & Exercise student Georgia Yarde said,
“It was such an amazing experience to be part of, for such an amazing charity. The leg pain was definitely worth it and the support we had from one another was incredible.”
This event was held to raise money for Bloodwise in memory of former staff member Luke Buckingham. The teams were delighted to have raised £346, which will go towards the charity’s research into blood cancer and support services for people affected by it.
