Last Kick wins 7 Goal Thriller for Team BTC Men's 2 Team - Bridgwater & Taunton College

Team BTC Men’s 2 football win a 7-goal thriller with the last kick of the game.

Team BTC Men’s 2 recorded their third consecutive win to continue their fine form this season.  After a slow start, Team BTC Men’s 2 found themselves a goal down after the first few minutes of the game.  This seemed to give them the kickstart they needed, and with quick fire goals from Olly Simkin and Josh Smith later in the half, BTC came in with a 3-1 advantage at half time.

More chances followed at the start of the second half, with Noah Brown hitting the post from a shot outside of the box.  However it was St Brendan’s who scored to make it 3-2 against the run of play.  With only 15 minutes left and the visitors pushing more men forward, St Brendan’s equalised to make it 3-3 with a nice passage of play.

This was not to stop BTC, who showed some outstanding resilience, managing to force a corner in what was the last play of the game, a delicious ball was played into the box.  Toby Lee rose highest to head the ball home and win the game for Team BTC 4-3.
