Andy Berry CBE, CEO UCS College Group, and Steve Smith, Managing Director of SIAS, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step towards shaping and delivering the skills and qualifications needed in the rapidly emerging battery manufacturing sector in Somerset.

These qualifications will be rigorous, industry-driven and nationally scalable. The MoU outlines a framework for collaborative projects, around curriculum development, regulated qualifications and accreditations, aligning UCS College Group’s expertise in further and higher education with SIAS’s awarding and accreditation capabilities.

The signing took place at Bridgwater College, part of UCS College Group.
