New Women’s Football Development Squad have first fixture - Bridgwater & Taunton College

Team BTC 6 – 3 Bath

The first game for the women’s development squad ended in a positive 6-3 result to Team BTC. It was a 7-a-side friendly, 30 minutes each way, that saw the best of many players.

Despite trailing after eight minutes, Team BTC were quick to turn it around, through an Ewelina goal. Within the 15th minute Team BTC got two more, through Holly after she scored a rebound from her missed penalty and Alyssia, who scored after a weaving run. However, in the 26th minute Bath got a goal back, with a good finish. Just before half time Alyssia netted her second after another great run, to make it 4-2.

The 41st minute saw Ewelina bring her goal tally to two as she finished superbly after taking it past two defenders. In the 52nd minute, Holly scored her second, placing well with many defenders surrounding her. Three minutes before the full-time whistle saw Bath’s number 7 scored a consolation goal, a great strike from far out to secure her hattrick 6-3.
