BTC Students proudly collect their berets | Bridgwater & Taunton College

A group of dedicated students from Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC), who are a part of our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) extra-curricular group, collected their berets showing off their hard work and determination.

The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) provides military training and leadership to young people in the UK, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, they are aiming to offer young people “a broad range of challenging, exiting, adventurous and educational activities.”

The beret ceremony was held at the Bridgwater campus, taking place in the newly refurbished Student Union. Students from across many different courses and programmes took part, as the CCF accepts any students interested no matter your choice and level of study.

Andy Berry, Principal and CEO, attended the ceremony, presenting the berets, congratulating the cadets, and marking what was a particularly special occasion.

BTC are exited to see the impact this opportunity will have on students, allowing new pathways to be explored.

We are delighted to be able to offer our students the chance to be involved in the Combined Cadet Force.   Today was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the hard work put in by cadets to date this academic year and we look forward to supporting events both within the College and local community in the future.
