Eight students were selected to visit the steel and iron specialists, Morgans of Usk, to experience first-hand how the steel frame for the new centre is made from start to finish. The group were able to find out more about the history of the company, tour the workshops to witness the fabrication and visit the offices to see the design of the project.

Chris Hunt, Head of Engineering at Bridgwater & Taunton College said,

“This visit was a great opportunity for our students to see a live working environment in an engineering workshop, seeing an entire process from when the steel arrives, through all the processes until it is ready to leave the workshop and travel to sight.”
