Surprise raffle win to benefit student wellbeing - Bridgwater & Taunton College

The Easter bunny brought a surprise for the Sport Apprenticeship team when they were entered into a raffle to win an iPhone12, by their awarding body ActiveIQ.

ActiveIQ support the College with the delivery of gym instructing and personal training qualifications, in addition to end point assessment services for all of BTC’s sport apprenticeships.

The team said,

We were thrilled to win this prize. The pandemic had highlighted how some of our students have really struggled to get online to access lessons, resources and support.  This phone could provide a lifeline for someone.  We have a really positive partnership with ActiveIQ and thank them for their generosity.

After discussion with colleagues in the Student Engagement Team, it has been agreed that the phone will be gifted as a prize to students and encourage the recipient to focus on both their studies and their personal wellbeing, as part of the College’s engagement strategy.

Keira Scott, Student Engagement Manager said,

This very generous prize will be used as one of our BTC Lifestyle giveaways as a prize for one of our lucky students! As part of the giveaway we will also be asking students to donate a small amount to our annual RAGVENT charities. So on behalf of the staff and students at BTC a huge thank you goes to ActiveIQ.

Details of how students can win the prize will be advertised soon.
